Covid-19 Safety

The safety of our visitors and staff is our priority. For your protection we are conducting enhanced cleaning and regular disinfection.

In line with current government guidance, seating in the venue is not socially distanced and all events are being sold at full capacities. We are not currently asking guests to provide proof of vaccination or proof of Covid status.

Hand sanitiser is available for use at the venue entrance and at the bar. Please use hand sanitiser or wash your hands regularly.

For Covid safety we may not be operating our cloakroom, so please bring minimal belongings and keep them with you.

Wearing a mask is not compulsory, but you are very welcome to wear a mask if it is your personal preference or as a courtesy to other visitors.

Our staff will maintain social distancing wherever possible.

Thank you for your understanding if our front and rear exit doors are held open for cross-ventilation.

Our toilets are ventilated at all times.

Jazzbourne is a small venue, so please be mindful of others and their personal space when moving around or queueing for the bar or toilet.

We kindly ask that you do not attend if you:

  • have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 10 days
  • believe you may be infected with COVID-19, whether you have symptoms or not
  • have experienced symptoms in the last 10 days
  • have been in close proximity to anyone who has experienced symptoms in the last 10 days and you are not fully vaccinated
  • have arrived in England in the last 10 days from a country where UK quarantine restrictions apply
  • have been instructed to self-isolate

We encourage anyone that is clinically vulnerable, or who is in the same household or support bubble as someone who considers themselves vulnerable, to make their own assessment whether they should attend.

Should Government guidance change we will contact you about your tickets by email, and publish updates here.

Venue Accessibility

Our team do everything we can to make Jazzbourne as accessible and inclusive as possible.  However, as our venue is the intimate basement space of a Victorian building, our accessibility is limited.

There are 9 steps down from street level to the venue entrance, and a further 1 step down to the main space.

There are no pillars or fixed obstacles in the main space, but furniture is set up according to each event and layout may vary.

An ambulant-accessible gender-neutral toilet can be made available for your visit upon request, please get in touch with us to request this facility.

We will do our utmost to accomodate all customers to the best of our ability, so please get in touch with us to discuss any accessibility requirements prior to your visit. Services we may be able to provide include:

  • provide extra information in advance or on the day to support you to feel comfortable at our events
  • provide extra time to get into and settled in our space prior to a performance
  • offer reserved seating close to the performance area and/or accessible toilet
  • support you to bring assistance animals into the space
  • offer a free personal assistant or carer ticket for any disabled customer that requires personal assistance

As we are a small capacity venue, we may not always be able to provide these services  so please contact us to discuss your requirements before booking.  We welcome suggestions of additional services we can offer to make your visit comfortable and enjoyable. We are committed to improving our accessibility as a creative venue moving forward.
